I like to paint birds, wombats, whales, and urban sketching, which involves sitting outdoors, drawing (and painting, but not always) the view in front of you. I like to draw cottages and houses.
This well-maintained house in Richmond, Tasmania, caught my eye. I was enchanted by the details, the different colours used under the verandah beam to accentuate the pattern, the dormers, red roof, all framed by a vibrant hedge.
