In the Pyrenees

Hello to everyone from hot Toulouse in France.

I am here visiting family and to attend the 2026 International Urban Sketchers Symposium. https://urbansketchers.org/usk-symposium-toulouse-2026/

Last week, we went to Loubieres in the Aveyron/Pyrenees region of France to try to have a short reprieve from the heat. At the end of the street, where we were staying, was a gorgeous stone and rendered house with blue-mauve window shutters that made the yellow sunflowers sing. I think that there are gardeners that live here because the front, side and back gardens of this house are beautiful!

I sat on the other side of the street to draw this house in Loubieres, France, then added the watercolour paint at the Air B&B.

The original painting is available on the www.pjpaintings.com website: https://pjpaintings.com/collections/original-paintings/products/original-painting-of-a-house-loubieres-france

Wishing you a great week, neither too hot, nor too cold.

Thank you for visiting. Warmest regards, Patricia (PJ) Hopwood-Wade
