Looking Up
I’ve seen a Pink robin once in the wild on the east coast of Tasmania. It is a small, elusive passerine bird that lives in the cool, wet temperate rainforests and gullies of Tasmania. They are insectivorous birds and like dense vegetation. The male has the most brilliant pink breast, whereas the female is more muted in colour. https://www.instagram.com/reels/DPOq5PLDc_x/

I titled this original painting of a Pink robin “Looking Up.”© I drew this picture freehand, as I do all of my artwork, and painted this cheery scene on Clairefontaine 300gsm cold pressed watercolour paper. It is approximately 15 x 20 cm. The pink chest is brighter than the scanned image.
Who knows, maybe when you are looking up this week, you may spot a beautiful bird too!
