The Galah is one of the most abundant bird species in Australia, commonly seen everywhere, including in Tasmania, where I live. Both male and female Galahs look the same, with the only difference being the colour of their eyes; the males have brown eyes while the females have red.
The Galah was painted with watercolour and the leaves were drawn with a .003 Micron Archival Ink pen. I drew the gum leaves with a feather-like pattern. The Rosy Demeanour prints are squarish in dimension. They go well with "Crimson Beauty" and/or "On Nest Duties". Each print has the title handwritten on it and is signed by me. They are not numbered.
The approximate image sizes are:
A-4 sized print is 21 x 22 cm
A-3 sized print is 24.5 x 25.5 cm
A-2 sized print is 36 x 36 cm
A-1 sized print is 51 x 51 cm
The image has a border around it so the overall print is little larger than the dimensions above.
All my prints are printed on 310gsm watercolour paper with archival inks by FullGamut, a Fine Art Printer in Hobart, Tasmania. No wonder so many people ask me if the print is an original because the colour and textured paper is of such high quality!
