I chose to draw the Eight-armed seastar that is endemic to Tasmania. It’s a stunning looking starfish. Click on this link to see a photo of it https://www.derwentestuary.org.au/species/eight-armed-seastar/
Amazingly, emus are strong swimmers. They go in the water to cool themselves but also to cross obstacles and to travel between islands. Their long legs make them powerful swimmers but not for long distances.
I drew my picture freehand and from my imagination, as I do all of my artwork, and painted this cheery scene on 300gsm cold pressed Feinkornig watercolour paper. It is approximately 15 x 21cm, a standard A-5 size.
I have written the title of the painting, my full name and signature on the back of the painting.
