Lost Worlds - prints of kunanyi and Tasmanian Tigers

The last known Tasmanian tiger (Thylacine) died in the Hobart Zoo, Tasmania, on September 7, 1936. They were once here and now their presence is intangible but a constant presence nevertheless. 

kunanyi/Mount Wellington is a constant living presence in Hobart, Tasmania.  It is a wild place and on the mountain there is a track named the Lost World Track.  I let these two ideas form the basis for this emotive painting.  

This print is printed in Tasmania by Full Gamut on 310gsm William Turner watercolour print paper with archival inks. The paper has the same texture as the paper I paint on. No wonder so many people ask me if the print is my original painting!
