Wombat Festivities- an Original Water colour Painting
This wombat is enjoying adding its personal touch and flair to the Christmas decorations.
Wombats are marsupials native to Tasmania and the mainland of Australia. They are herbivores. Female wombats give birth to a single young in the spring. The young leave the pouch after about 6 to 7 months.
I've often encountered wombats. They are such gentle souls and I try to capture that gentleness and calmness in my paintings. There's nothing cuter than seeing a baby wombat running.
This bright painting on 300gsm cold pressed Art Spectrum water colour paper is smaller than A-4 size (21 x 28cm) (8 x 11in).
